Cotswold Wildlife Park

Isla was a healthy child until mid April when she developed blood in her urine and a swelling to her left side. After a scan her parents were told it was cancer on her 7th Birthday after a MRI scan they were told it was wilms. The following week she underwent surgery to have a Hickman line fitted and began chemo straight away. She had to have her left kidney removed along with a vast tumour. She will continue chemo and radiotherapy as her other kidney also shows abnormal cells which is devastating news. The family are unsure how long treatment will go on for so we at the trust thought the family needed some time out to make memories,

We sent the family to the Cotswold wildlife park where she went on the learner animal experience and the whole family had a great day out.
