2017 Golf Day Review

Please let me start by saying a very big thank you from all of the trust to all of you who turned out for a very good cause on Saturday.
This year the weather was well and truly on our side, and we managed to get 59 golfers out on the course.
Apart from the groups that went out chasing those very nice trophies there was some very good prizes on 11 separate holes and they were won by 11 different golfers. We had decided to make a few of the holes for a different handicapers to give the higher ones a chance of winning something and we think that worked very well. But to do this we needed to have hole sponsors. Our Hole Sponsors for this year were the following:

MK Dons
Voongs Chinese Restaurant
Moza Indian
Kardamom Lounge
Admiral Airport Cars
Three Locks Public House
The Oliver and Hare
London Midland x 2
Paul Stallard (Gosprey Cleaning)
Q Academy (Newport Pagnell)

Without these kind donations things like this are not possible.

The prize winners on the day were as folows
Les Barney
Paul Whiteman
Kevin Gosling
Kevin Molyneaux
Ernie Jennings
Joey Brady
Ray Dodd
Mark Wesley
Andy Wilson
Rob Gingell
Team one (for most net pars)

Now down to the main event, 15 teams playing Texas Scramble stableford points.
Out of the 15 teams there was only 9 points to separate all of them.
The winners on the day with a very good 48 points were:
Mark Thornton
Gary Robbins
Simon Knight
Andrew Barby

Runners up on the day with a close 47 points were:
Simon Charteris
Bob Petrie
Paul Butcher
Tony Williams

Wooden spoon on the day with 39 points were:
Steve Knibbs
Paul Niven
Daniel Moore

The rest of the points went as follows:
3 on 46 points
2 on 45 points
2 on 44 points
1 on 42 points
3 on 41 points
1 on 40 points
Very well done to all of you to bring it in that close.

As you all know we were there to raise money for a fantastic charity and none of this is possible without some of our main sponsors.
Coming in this year to sponsor us was BOUNDS TAXIS, a very new company to open up in Milton Keynes.
We would like to send out a very big thank you to them for there support.
Also one of our long term sponsors NIKON put in a very nice donation once again.
All of you who put up a prize for our raffle we must thank you very much.
NOW for the final figure…

Total raised on the day was a staggering £1200.00.

Thank you to everyone whom attending the day. Anyone who will be interested in attending next year, keep an eye on the website and social media for when the date will be announced and tickets will be on sale. Hope to see many of you next year.
